Welcome to our Gardening Group 🌿
We usually have speakers during February to April and September to November.
In May, June and July we visit gardens of interest.

June 10th - Coach trip to Wollerton Old Hall Gardens near Market Drayton, Shropshire.
The owner will give us a guided tour of the gardens, followed by lunch of homemade soup and a selection of sandwiches, followed by tea and coffee.
We will have free time to wander and enjoy thegardens.
Please note that picnicking is NOT allowed in the garden or tea room.
*Cost is £49. The coach will leave Rolleston at 9.30am, departing at 3pm for the return journey
July 8th - A return visit to The Dorothy Clive Garden to enjoy in the summer season. There will be a walk and tour of the gardens with one of their experts. There will be plenty of time to wander the gardens at leisure, have lunch or cake, visit the gift shop etc: before the coach returns to Rolleston
*Cost is £38.50. The coach will leave Rolleston at 8.30am. and arrive back between 4pm and 4.30pm. Bookings Closed
The garden is situated on a hillside and some paths are narrow, steep and gravelled. There is a recommended route for people with limited mobility.
August 12th - Self drive visit to Melbourne Hall and Gardens. Enjoy a tour of the house and a guided walk of the gardens with the gardener.
*Cost is £18. The visit starts at 1.30pm and finishes at about 3.30pm
September 9th - Tracey Akehurst shares her knowlege of Passions, Potions & Poisons in her talk ' Love and Death in the Garden
October 14th - A return visit by Danny Wells whose talk is to entitled ' The Art of Flowers' an appreciation of flowers in art exploring meanings and associated symbolism and the language of flowers
November 11th - Nick Martin will be giving us a talk about the secret wildlife of our gardens
December - No meeting
